I began my corporate career at a global MNC in China, where I was one of 80 Management Associates. We were told we were the “Cream of the Crop”.
But over time, I kept noticing something: despite the big brand name, not every team had a great culture. Organisational politics, power struggles, and disengaged employees were all too common. It made me ask, why do respected companies sometimes have less than desirable cultures?
Years later, I learned the answer: a lack of psychological safety.
Why I do what I do
This led me to step into the training world in 2015, where I wanted to help leaders see the impact of their actions. 3 years later, I started Designing Trust.
Now, a decade later, my goal has evolved: to help raise the next generation of emotionally intelligent leaders, who will shape healthier, high-trust workplaces for the future.
